Coolant for the VW Golf 7 (VII)

VW Golf 7 is the seventh generation of the famous Golf series. As the successor to the Golf 6, its production began from the autumn of 2012. Since October 2019, the Golf 8 replaced the seventh generation as the most current version.

The Golf 7 also saw the first launch of the e-Golf, the first series of Golf electric cars. Other special features of this series include the gas-transmission 1.4 L turbo engine and a plug-in hybrid. Together, all Golf 7 models require a suitable coolant.

How much coolant for the Golf 7 (VII)?

Whether diesel vs. gasoline or internal combustion vs. electric, the VW Golf 7 requires a total of 8.00 liters of coolant. At the same time, it always needs a G13 coolant. You can find more detailed information in the table below. Since the original VW G13 coolant is no longer produced, the VW G12evo is recommended.

Concentrate or ready mixture?

The G13 coolant for your VW Golf 7 could previously be purchased as a pure concentrate or ready mixture. The concentrate must be mixed with distilled water before it can be filled into the cooling system. The ready mixture has already been mixed with the water and is suitable for filling directly. The ready mixture protects up to a temperature of about -25 degrees. With the VW G12evo you get a ready mixture, which you can fill directly into the cooling system.
